The school system in Dubai does not differ from that of the UAE. In 2009, there are 79 public schools run by the Ministry of Education that serve Emiratis and expatriate Arabs and 145 schools. The private means of teaching in public schools is Arabic with emphasis on English as a second language, while most private schools use English as medium of instruction. Most private schools meet one or more expatriate communities.
New Indian Model School, Dubai (NIMS), Delhi private school, our own English School Dubai Modern High School, and the Indian High School Dubai offer either a CBSE or an Indian Certificate of Secondary Education Indian syllabus. Similarly, there are also several reputable Pakistani schools offering programs from the FBI for children of expatriates.
